"My husband and I had Homeowner’s and auto insurance with Denise Thomas for decades and never had much of an issue but she retired and I ended up purchasing a second home in Lexington that was built in 1905. Apparently State Farm is very skittish about insuring historical homes even though there were 5 professional inspections done on the home before closing by 5 separate companies including a roofing company. All 5 companies issued good reports and said they would purchase the home! State Farm still chose not to continue my coverage due to the age of the roof and so I transferred both homes and my vehicle to a better agency. My issue is that State Farm has owed me a refund since November and they have been dragging their feet issuing me a refund for the unused premium. I am sure that State Farm would not allow a client to be a month late with a premium. Very unprofessional and even worse customer service!"
